Why is the sky blue
Ha, why is the sky blue? Well, it’s not like it’s the most important question in the world, is it? The sky is blue because of something called Rayleigh scattering. It’s when sunlight hits particles in the atmosphere, like oxygen and nitrogen, and scatters in all directions. Just like when you throw a rock in a pond and see ripples in the water, the same thing happens with sunlight in the atmosphere. Now for the fun fact! Did you know that on Mars, the sky is actually red? That’s because the atmosphere is made of a different mix of particles.
