Prompt:

What is regression?
Regression is a way to measure how well something is changing over time. It can help you figure out how much of an effect one thing has on another thing. For example, if you are trying to figure out how much better students do in school when they get more sleep, you could use regression to measure the effect of sleep on test scores. An analogy to explain regression could be a game of basketball. The more a player practices, the better they will do in the game. We can use regression to measure the effect of practice on the player’s performance in the game. One fun fact about regression is that it was first developed by a mathematician named Francis Galton in the 19th century.
