Quantum mechanics
Quantum mechanics is a branch of science that studies the behavior of particles on an incredibly small scale. To give you an idea of how small, a particle is a million times smaller than a grain of sand. Quantum mechanics helps us understand how things work on the smallest scale, like atoms and particles. An example of how quantum mechanics works is when two particles interact with each other, they can act like waves, which can then interfere with each other and produce new results. Another example of quantum mechanics is that particles can exist in multiple places at the same time, which is known as the superposition of particles. This means that the particles can be in two different places at the same time. Fun fact: Albert Einstein once said that “God does not play dice”, referring to the randomness of quantum mechanics.
