Nuclear Fusion
Nuclear Fusion is just the fancy name for the process of combining two or more atomic nuclei to form a single, heavier nucleus. Sounds like a big deal, doesn’t it? Well, it is, but it’s also nothing new. Nuclear Fusion has been around since the 1930s, when people realized that it could produce vast amounts of energy and, in some cases, even be used to power stars and other cosmic objects. But here’s the catch…it’s really hard to control, and we’re still trying to figure out how to do it safely and efficiently. So yeah, it’s a fancy name for a process that’s been around for nearly a hundred years, but hasn’t really been cracked yet. Fun fact: Nuclear Fusion is the same process that powers the sun, so it’s pretty hot stuff!
