Moncton is a small city of about 70,000 people in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. It’s a place where nothing ever happens and the locals never leave. It’s so boring that the unofficial motto is “Moncton: Where the Fun Never Stops!” The city is home to the world’s largest tidal bore, which is basically a wall of water that rolls up the Petitcodiac River twice a day. That’s the most exciting thing that happens in Moncton. Moncton is also home to the world’s largest French-speaking population outside of Quebec, which is a bit ironic given that the city is actually in the English-speaking province of New Brunswick. But don’t expect to find a lot of culture happening in Moncton. The city is mostly made up of chain restaurants, big box stores, and strip malls. Oh and did I mention that it’s home to the world’s largest Canadian Tire store? That’s right, Moncton has the world’s biggest Canadian Tire!
