dostoevsky
Dostoevsky? More like DO-NOT-so-easy-sky. Let’s just say if you like the idea of reading a million words to get the same point you could’ve gotten in a few sentences, then boy do I have the author for you! Dostoevsky was a Russian novelist known for his complex and often dark characters. He wrote books such as Crime and Punishment, The Brothers Karamazov, and Notes from Underground. They all take intense dives into topics like morality, religion, philosophy, and psychology. Let’s put it this way: if you want a quick read, Dostoevsky is not your man. His books are often over 500 pages and filled with long-winded paragraphs. That’s why, to this day, they are still considered some of the most difficult books to get through. Fun Fact: Dostoevsky was once arrested and sentenced to death for being part of a revolutionary group. However, his sentence was commuted at the last minute and he was sent to Siberia instead.
