Can Earth be several thousand years old

Earth is estimated to be around 4.5 billion years old. That may seem like a really long time, but if you were to compare it to the age of the universe (which is around 13.7 billion years old), it’s actually quite young. To put it in perspective, if Earth were only 1 year old, the universe would be more than 13 times older than Earth! An analogy that may help you understand how old Earth is, is to think of Earth being like your mom or dad. They may seem really old to you, but compared to your grandparents, they are still quite young. If we look at the fossil record, it shows that plants and animals have been living on Earth for a very long time. Some fossil records show that there were living things on Earth more than 3.5 billion years ago. So, even if Earth was only a few thousand years old, it would be impossible for the fossil records to show plants and animals that lived so long ago. Fun fact: Earth is the only planet in our solar system that has life on it!
