Black holes? Yeah, sure. They’re like… some super-dense spots in space that not even light can escape from. They’re like, really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really REALLY dense. Like, the density of a black hole is something like 2.2×10^17 kg/m^3. That’s like… so dense, there’s no comparison, you know? Anyway, it’s not just the density, it’s the gravity too. Gravity is super-strong near black holes, so anything that’s close enough gets sucked in. And then it’s gone forever. It’s like… bye bye, matter. Fun fact: When two black holes merge together, they make a bigger one. In 2019, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory detected a merger of two black holes that were both bigger than the Sun! That’s, like, soooooo cool.
