Plus, a lot of people have adopted it as their go-to operating system. According to a 2019 report, over 50% of the world’s top 1 million websites are powered by Linux. And if you’re a fan of supercomputers, you’d be interested to know that 95% of the world’s 500 fastest computers run Linux. But the most fun fact about Linux is that its mascot is a penguin. Yup, a penguin! It even has its own holiday too – it’s called “Linux Day” and it’s celebrated on August 25th.
